Shalom and Welcome!

I’m Noam, I’m a PhD student in Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science, in the Language Technologies Institute. I’m advised by Daphne Ippolito.

I completed my master’s in Computer Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with Gabriel Stanovsky, where I worked on multilingual datasets and evaluation approaches in NLP (see Publications for more info:) ). I also worked at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) with Abhilasha Ravichander on nuanced forms of misleading information and tools for critical reading.

Before NLP, I spent over five years as a journalist: working as a news editor at Haaretz and earlier at GLZ Radio. So I really do love text (and thinking about its impact!).
